Another Spring farm Wishlist

Cant give monetarily? There are many items I am on the hunt for!

  • Farm land!

I am currently leasing land in a shared space which the knowledge that this lease in temporary. In Oregon 99% of agricultural land is owned by white folks. I am intently hoping and looking to farm on land that I will not have to move from so that I can build the farm as a community space, make investments in the soil and take place in radical redistribution of farmland. Please be in touch with opportunities, but only serious inquiries of land that is farm-able without the use of pesticides and has access to water.

  • Farm truck

works well but can be old and beat up. Enough life in it to haul veggies from the field to the cooler for a couple seasons.

  • Picnic table

  • Farm bike

simple bike to get around the farm

  • Love to cook or can?

Always looking for folks to play with extra second grade produce! I am really hoping to collaborate on community meals and dinners. Would love to have someone (or a group) who could receive extra veggies and prepare meals for the community!

  • Trades for bread, eggs or fish! Also if you work in a restaurant I am always happy to receive prepared meals or gift cards or discounts ;)

  • Trades for massage or acupuncture, body work, holistic care

  • Folks to process herbs and make medicines!

  • Got recipes?

I would be thrilled to include your recipes in the weekly newsletter. Especially excited about recipes from Black and Asian diaspora lineages. Please send over any and all recipes you would want to share with the community.

  • Food Blogger/ Newsletter writer

I would love to trade a CSA for a food writer. You would receive weekly vegetables and write how you prepare them, or make videos/reels, share how you interact with these foods especially if they are historic to you someway! This would really me help the CSA members prepare meals!

  • Picnic table or bench

  • Dog caretaker

I have two pups that get a little less attention during the height of the season. If you want to play with dogs, take them to the dog park or on a walk we would all appreciate it!

  • Fundraiser and grant writer

Since a large majority of CSA shares are given to the community at little to no cost outside funding is needed. If you have access to grants or grant writing skills or a knack for fundraising your skills would be greatly appreciated.

  • Chef for community dinners!

Stay tuned to Another Spring Farm’s social media for more information on volunteer days as the season begins! This 2022 season I am looking forward to a handful of community volunteer days that will include activities like spreading compost, transplanting starts, harvest and more!

Also look forward to community dinners! I hope to have a community farm dinner to open the season and again to close the season. I will be gratefully accepting help in planning and preparing for this meal. This event is extremely COVID-19 dependent.

Thank you for thinking of Another Spring farm as a space you would like to be involved in. I am looking forward to building the farm in this way and am doing so slowly with the pandemic in mind as well as the understanding of labor being sacred. I hope to create a space for folks to reclaim their labor and connection to land so thank you for being patient with me as I learn to grow and accept help while honoring myself and others!
