Job Description

Another Spring farm is a small scale farm growing mixed vegetables, cut flowers and natural dyes.  The farm is rooted in the goal of liberation for the land and all who tend to it.  The prioritization, health and well being of Black and Indigenous people is at the forefront of the work.  The farm provides a CSA at a ‘pay what you want’ pricing model to Black, Brown and Indigenous people and that is its main purpose.  There is also a priority of joy and creativity.  Another spring farm is working to produce restwear and merch that is sustainable and creatively inspiring with dyes grown on the farm.  

This position will be filled by someone who is open to co-creating their role on the farm.  This person may have an interest in cut flowers and/or natural dyes and textiles.  They will be interested in uprooting capitalist white supremacist structures and have the willingness to think creatively about new structures within their work on the farm and beyond. 

The greatest need on the farm currently is administrative support.  The person who fills this position may do work in computer management, brand management, customer relations and communication, and social media.  This person will be willing to bounce between tasks and willing to apply their organizational skills.  There is room for as much involvement with on-farm tasks as needed to make the right person feel happy in this role.  The ideal fit will stay and grow with Another Spring farm forever (!) and there will be room for growth in a multitude of ways. 

Compensation

This position is part time to start immediately.

Rate is $24/hr at 16 hrs/week to start. Hours and pay rate are flexible and paid time off is offered. Insurance will be discussed based on the applicants needs.

  • Have access to transportation to get to the farm in east gresham

Roles 

These roles are flexible.  Applicant will likely not fill all of these roles, rather we will work together to foster applicants interests!

  • Assist in creating cohesive social media presence 

  • Update and maintain website and commerce

  • Manage csa membership

  • Write weekly newsletters

  • Zine making and printing

  • Event coordination

  • U-pick coordination

  • Fundraising

  • Grant writing/researching

  • Seeding

  • Transplanting

  • Compost laying

  • Harvest and wash and pack

  • General farm tasks

  • Creative projects


A willingness to learn and be flexible is one of the most valuable traits for this position. There will be someone to guide you on any and all of what you're interested in working on if it's the right fit.  This position could include a multitude of roles and bouncing between roles when applicable.  I would love to know what interests you in the agriculture world! You do not need to be skilled in all of these roles to apply.
