Stone washed Linen robe crafted and hand dyed by your farmers. An incredible sky blue.

Indigo is planted in spring and tended to for 3 months before harvest. It takes hundreds of pounds of leaves to create a deep pigment. Once a vat is built the fabric must be dipped multiple times in a layering process to create dark hues. I have deep respect for every hue of blue because of the months of labor that goes into it as well as the history and spiritual importance of the plant.

Indigo is an ancestral plant with a history deeply important to African peoples and African people who were enslaved and brought turtle island. Its blue was a foundation for the settler colonial project that is the United states. It has a history long before and a future long after the greed and exploitation that was placed on it. I honor both my African and my Japanese artisan ancestors by tending this crop and envisioning a future where it cradles and heals my community.

I imagine you napping, indulging and experiencing healing in these earth made colors.

These dyes were grown organically on the farm and processed with care.  This robe is meant for you to rest easily.
